i had some motor work done during the winter and now i cant find a clutch that will last. i have hot cams a 14:1 piston cam mod and a port job. i run VP U 4.2. if anyone has any ideas for clutches that would be sweet. i had a vesrah with 15% stiffer springs. and it lasted two motos and a 5 lap practice session. it really started slipping the last 3 laps in the last moto. i got 2nd the first moto and had 2nd again the second moto but it started slipping noticeably. need ideas

Anytime you mod the motor as you have and you race on top of it the clutch probably is not going to last any length of time. I'd say that the best that you could probably do is upgrade to a Hinson setup and get alil more time out of them.

I'm using the GYTR clutches with a mild port/polish and hi comp piston.

YZF450 clutch mod. 9 fibers and 8 steels is a nice setup and gives u some more bite and response outta the power your motors puttin out

yea u can use stock basket because the YZ fibers and steels are thinner and u can remove all the stock fibers along with the 2 big washer looking plates at the end of the basket

Even the never YZ's went away from the 9 plate set up, as the steel plates were warping faster because they were thinner.

The YFZR and YZ use the same clutch pack now.
