almost finished with my 1986 250r resto and need some lines on proper jeting so i dont fubar it right off the start, i am running stock piston , cool head gas dome, vforce reeds and airbox eliminator, esr trx 9 exhaust and 38 mm a/s carb running it at sea level anybody got jetting close to this please let me know wont start it till i get the jetting close to right then adjust from there thanks

Depends on what is done to the cylinder, and what compression you are running, as well as what ignition and whether the timing has been advanced any, as these factors all affect jetting.

However, somewhere around a 180 main jet, with a DDJ needle middle clip, 50 pilot, should get you close.

stock cylinder and 38 i would say a 170-175 would be more likely.

no porting stock cylinder no timing changes stock electronics thanks for all the info
