Not without serious modifications. In a one word answer, no.

It will work. I've got an 05 on my 07. The dimensions are the same, the difference is in the angle of the fins.

Dimensions are the same? I was pretty sure that the 06 up were wider and thinner. Need to figure out how to put an 05 fan on an 06.

Don't know about the fan. I've got fan and all from an 05 on mine. It bolted up fine.

Cool. That's good to know when I finally update and get a new bike and have to swap crap over to piece one or the other back together.

scro, is there any advantage to the 04/05 or 06+ fins that you know of out of curiosity?

I haven't heard any explanations about it, but I would assume it's to keep mud from getting in between the fins as bad. I couldn't tell a difference in cooling.
