Would it surprise you all that I regularly jam to hip hop:o

I was around when Rap was just coming up from the street:p I always enjoyed a hard bass sound. You wont see me with dredlocks or parachute pants ...lol but I do listen to alot of it...hell I listen to everything including classical.

Music transends all barriers I know of..

I beg to differ. A tribe called quest IMO is better than 2-pac or B.I.G., but I'm not into the "gangster" rap. I've always found it boring to hear them sing about how horrible it was and how they wish it would change, but then act like the stereotypical "gangsta" outside of the studio.

As to the thread starter,
A TRIBE CALLED QUEST is in NO WAY riding music! You want music thats going to get you amped up. So what are you talking about.

What do you do... listen to tribe called quest and then hop on your Huffy Classic and pedal around the yard :huh .

Lol, I guess I see what you mean.I really don't listen to rap to get "amped up". I listen to punk like Hot water music and Dead Kennedys.

Also I posted because someone said that tupac was the best chit from the 90's which I couldn't let stand, as he and B.I.G. are massively overhyped.

The "realist" stuff out, and by that I mean someone that actually does/has been doing what there rapping about and aint just hoopin and hollerin about sh*t is Gucci Mane and Yo Gotti.

Can't go wrong with either one of those if you really wanna beat the hell out of those subs.

Plies new cd is pretty good with my fav. off that one being "All Black". That song drums like a mofo.

But I would highly reccomend going old school with anything from the 90's from Three Six Mafia. Download Mystic Stylez and Hypnotize Minds mixtapes. Any of there mixtapes are some good stuff to ride to.

I forgot to mention that the new Slim Thug stuff that just came out is pretty clean to and also drums like a mofo.

There's alot of good rap out thats new but you gotta get away from the mainstream stuff you hear on the radio. It's all on the mixtapes.
