400ex axle in 450r carrier?

Will a 400ex axle work in a 450r carrier? Im building another 250r and putting a full 450r rear in it and need an axle. Found a good deal on here for a LSR 400ex axle and need to know if it will fit. I know a 250r one will not work. Thanks.

im pretty sure the 300ex, 400ex and 450r carriers are all interchangable, correct me if im wrong

Nope. 450 carriers and axles are different. 400ex axle wont go in a 450 carrier correctly. 450 carriers also use 3 bearing instead of 2. So if you have a 450, you need a 450 axle.
