I just went from stock tires too 18's, should I stay with stock gearing? This is a 06 with a HRC kit.

stock gearing with 18s is PERFECT for mx. the gears arnt too close or to far apart

Im running 13/37 right now. But I run 14/38 and 14/37 sometimes. 14/38 is usually good for most mx tracks.

Thanks for the replies. I went for a short ride today and the stock gearing with the 18's feels great.

13/37 is awesome. 14/38 sucks for 2nd gear holeshots.

I have an 04 hrc, stock piston still stock rings. I launch second n/p all the time with my 18's razr mx's. I run 15/38 gearing, I only weigh 130-135 in gear though.


Before I put the 15 tooth on I could just about launch 3rd, if I put a 39 on I bet it would have done it.

'04-'05's come with 14 counter sprockets. '06's and up come with a 13 and a different tranny.
