For the last couple weeks when I try to get on Myspace it causes my computer to freeze up and shut down?? IT would do it alot when I would to a persons pics ,then it would freeze.
I tried it on my laptop and my home computer and they both do it.
Is this most a likely a problem with my ISP?
I use MSN.

Sometimes it does it here too, last week it was horrible, when the Suzuki ad would pop up on the homepage for some reason it would make me crash? If I would enter the site using the reply notifications, it would not do it .
Hope that all made sense. lol

anyhow, any ideas whats going on?

Firefox for sure is the way to go. It doesn't do the smooth fonts like IE, but IMO everything else is WAY better.

Java is all updated,Ive tried IE and MSN, but one thing I have noticed is that I get more orrors since its been upgraded to the MSN Explorer thats no used. I dont think it works as well with XP.

make sure you don't have your cookies disabled. I couldn't get into facebook for this reason.

OK last question....

So why would it freeze up on me but it works for LILQJ on the same computer?

Ok will still try firefox but also try this program its called ccleaner. You can get it at ccleaner.com what this does is it cleans out a bunch of crap this has fixed problems like this for me before. Let me know if thats helps u at all.

Isnt that basically just doing a Dfrag on your computer?

CC cleaner really only removes cookies and other types of history.

IMO that would not fix your issue.

Do you guys log in under separate profiles?

You log in under a "mom&dad" icon and she under something else?

No a defrag is very diff that only makes sure that you files are in order b/c windows dont put files back all the time and ccleaner runs out temp files and any other places as well just try it

Goes to show that the elderly should not be using computers. :p

I'm just joking with you. :D

My dad can seem to screw up my computer every time he logs on with it ... I have no clue what he does , but he screws it to hell.

"...the elderly, while slow, and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose." LMAO.

That's weird that it happens on two different computers. You could call the ISP and see if there's a known issue, because you probably wouldn't be the only one with problems. If it's both computers doing the same thing, maybe you have a modem or router problem. Do you have a wireless router? I don't know much about this stuff, but maybe one of them is going tango uniform and can't handle large chunks of information such as pictures or elaborate websites. Just a guess.
