I have been working hard at dialing in my nature photography. And one of the sites that I sell to has a pretty high rejection rate for most photographs...and its even harder when its nature shots.

I was pleased to find out that my last batch was accepted 100%:p Thats the first time they have approved every image.

I just needed to let that out....for me thats a goal met!

Ill be close...

I was planning on staying in TN for 3 or 4 days after the last GNCC and shoot bears and their cubs but the weather was so bad it wouldnt have been very good.

I am heading back there in a few weeks when I cover the MX National and me and the kids will spend the better part of a week shooting in the Cades Cove area. By then, the bear cubs should be very active and the deer fawns will be out and about so I am looking forward to that trip:)

I am already a week behind on the ducklings and young geese. The river flooded and its to dangerous now...and I am pretty sure teh flood waters killed off most of the young ones:(

Email wont handle it fullsize:p

If you tell me what you want it for I can see if downsizing it will work for you

I've been keeping my gear readied and watching throughout the day as I worked. Finally got an image of a dang Blue Jay that I like...its only been like 4 months of effort:chinese:

hey pappy i dont mean to jump off subject but figured this would be an easy way for you to see this...i have a nikon coolpix (the touchscreen one) i love the camera its awesome but when i try to take a fast moving picture it blurrs some its a 5x optical zoom 5.9-29.5mm 1:3:8-4.8 VR 10.0 megapixels i dont know if that helps any

Its focusing capabilities arent capable of keeping up with fast subjects. Try panning (follow subject from the side with the camera and press the shutter release while continuing to follow the subject)

If the camera gives you an option to raise the ISO, set it higher as well. If it only offers you a sports setting, use that as it will give allowance to a faster shutter speed over an average balance between shutter speed and aperature.

If you really want to stop action, you may be forced to purchase atleast an entry level DSLR. When these guys are coming right at you at 60 mph....it takes a bit more then a P&S to stop them, especially when lighting is bad!

Yes, he ran over the tips of my boots

They give me a big plastic bubble so I dont get dirty:p

No...no safety for most of us. We all try and not get run over.

I was smart enough to avoid this roost....but had eaten it there for 2 days. So when I saw these guys getting set up ...I knew I would hav ea shot of them getting sprayed:p
