ok so i have a question i know many fight about. i always give my quad a ten minute break for like 45 mins of riding. is giving it a break necessary? i mean think about it. a fire burns at a general temp. it doesnt slowly get higher and higher. so your motor has its peak temp. i would assume it would reach this fairly quickly and not get any hotter. so if you give it a break it just heats back up in 5 minutes of riding. is it worth it?

So, if you are racing a 2 hour harescramble, would you then pull, over every 45 minutes for a 10 minute cool down?

the only reason it would be required to pull over imo is if you were over heating or on the verge of over heating. when that is not that hard to tell. but for every 2 hours and all that is bologna

i dont think so. it will run at the max operating temp all day. if you stop great if not it does not know the difference. it is better to take a break for yourself just to relax that is what riding is all about isnt it. lol, steve
