Was this thing just put together out of the crate??? Honda would prolly buy that to put in the museum. That is the cleanest R that I think I have ever seen.

them are factory heel guards notice the tab on the frame that bolts to it.

they are stock and if u got the cash i know where two 1989 models are that have never been assembled still in the honda crate.wish they were mine.they belong to a local honda dealer that saved a bunch of diffrent models when they were discontinued.

That one is mine actually. I'm the second owner. I bought it 3 years ago from a grandfather who was selling it for the grandmother since they rode in the dunebuggy more often. My girlfriend rode it a couple times. Right now the engine is out for bearings and its first piston change.

They're still out there. Here is a picture of a restored '89 from a gentleman I have done business in Massachusetts. The second pic. is my latest project bike I bought from a guy in Michigan, who has 2 other new, unused Rs in his basement. One is an '88 and the other an'89. No BS. Two buddies rode the 16 hr. round trip to Michigan just to see them. It was a awesome sight. The bottom three pics. are others in my collection. They're still out there!
