Is your steering stem still stock? If so, is it bent? The bar clamps look to be much lower than on my mostly stock '02 400ex... I was looking at Trail Tech's website and came across this pic. If that's the same billet mount you have and your steering stem and clamps are stock and not bent, everything should fit okay.

It should fit properly with a stock length steering stem, and I don't think your bars would have anything to do with fitment problems. You could just fab up some spacers and get some longer bolts to raise the computer so it doesn't hit your gas cap.

Hope this helps.

Sure looks like your stem is bent way back. Like 2 inchs or so. I don't have the billet mount, but I'm just using the plastic one. But mine has plent of room.

be careful with that thing around gas. 3 drops on the plastic and it turns into a puddle of goo

Fitment - def. "How well something fits together" It's a term used widely in the classic car hobby. Let me know if you'd like a more detailed explanation with diagrams and pie charts. :D j/k

oh in that second pic you posted he's not using the same mount that you have, he's using the handlebar clamp one like that one I have in my picture

If you got two longer bolts and 2 spacers you could raise the height of yours by replacing the two bottom handlebar clamp bolts and put the speedometer over the spacers

Yup its a real word. I went there awhile back with some one over at AtvConnection. The guys who use it really defend it too!
