View Full Version : Will YFZ suspension fit on an 06 300ex

alright guys i've been racing my 300ex for a year or 2 now and since i started the stock suspension is bottoming out on double's and in some ryhtheme setions any idea's im debating either the FOX air floats or YFZ suspension any idea's or issue's like will the YFZ bolt on bolt off will i need long travel? please excperience idea's thanks

YFZ shocks are not the right length for the 300ex. Also I wouldn't buy stock length aftermarket shocks stock length is so short.

The thing to do for the 300ex is to buy a "shock relocator" bracket for the top front shock mounts so you can run 400ex length aftermarket front shocks or rebuilt 450r stock front shocks. Also you need 400ex a-arms with this setup they bolt right up you just need tie rods also. And I have heard of people using a older raptor model rear shock before they made them piggy back resi for the rear shock.

What we have done in the past was put 400ex +2 arms on and used banshee shocks. (elka) The only thing you have to change is the spacers on the ends.
I have a sweet 300ex that I cant seem to sell, If I were to part it out would you be interrested in the complete suspension?

If you were to part your quad out I would be interested in the nerfs, bumper and exhaust. If you end up parting give me a PM back.
