06Z400 fuel problem?

I just bought my 06 z400 a few months ago runs great when it wants to sometimes it acts like its running out of fuel or it will idle fine but as soon as you throttle it it shuts down. I've changed the spark plug, drained the old gas out and found water in it, drained the carb out (but didn't remove it). I wasn't sure if anyone else may have had the same problem or not?

I would start by cleaning the fuel petcock and move on to the carb.

i had that problem ,it was the gas cap ,was not letting any air in

I had the same problem. Try cleaning the fuel vavle on the gas tank. Mine was flowing good. I found on mine that it was in the carb at the fuel inlet float needle. I took the float & float needle out and blew air through it, it had a chunk of dirt in there. Hope this will help you! :cool:
