View Full Version : Hot Cams Identification

I have the motor torn down and need to know what stage cam the person before me put in. It is lableled Hot Cams. Can anyone tell me how to find out what stage it is?

what numbers are on it? it should have numbers stamped on it. i have seen some older ones where they are just wrote on with a marker or something.

IF IT HAS AN 07 STAMPED ON IT ITS A STAGE 1 AND i BELIEVE A 53 IS A STAGE 3 IM NOT SURE WHAT THE STAGE 2 IS BUT i KNOW ONE AND 2 ARE THEM NUMBERS FOR THE 400EX HOTCAMS SO IF IT HAS A NUMBER i DIDNT POST ITS PROBABLY A STAGE 2

Just called them today becuase I too had a similar problem to that and my cam has HCDB NO:8 stamped on it and they told me it is stage 2. So as long as greenhead is correct than you should be able to indentify any of there cams.

stage 3 has 51 stamped on it.

dropped mazda is right it is a 51 for a stage 3 my bad
