There was a guy on here that had one custom made by HMF. He couldn't run an airbox. Waste of time in my opinion.

ya i really want an hrc head pipe but finding one for an 06+ for a decent price.. is proving to be a hard thing to do. if anyone has one let me know.

also what flows better the hrc header or the fmf powerbomb?
and can i run the fmf header by itself or does it require a muffler?

thanks for all the help i would be lost without you guys haha

Very hard to find HRC header y r right. I didn,t feel much differance between HRC header and the FMF maybe alittle, down low pulls harder from the bottom. and then the same on top,but that is with a Q4 tOOOO. PS I allso have stage 2 hotcams and lid off with 45 pilot,06 CRF 450 needle and 175 main. just to relate

can i run the fmf header wide open like without a muffler?? we dont have a db rating here.. I only ask because with my stock muffler off it seems to be slower than with it on...

yes agree put a muffler on it asap. and i think white bros. made a replacement stock header, but if i was you i would just buy a slip on muffler. most give pretty good power.

i think your best bet is keep searching for an hrc header. or for a used exhaust.

Was there a huge bottom end increase? i run a full fmf system the megabomb header and the 4.1s exhaust and it made a world of difference in the woods

ya i think it made a difference but where i live there isnt much for woods to ride in pretty much all the honda 450s run sparks pipes in my area

Ive heard good things about the sparks exhaust. I ride mostly on the border of NY and PA, so theres a lot of steep pipelines and hills all over that area. I dont care much for top end because I do mostly woods/tight trail riding. Where are you from? Are you going riding memorial weekend?
