I just got an 06 in March, and have only ridden a few times. I am going out riding this upcoming weekend, and I can't figure this problem out!

The quad ran awesome every time I rode it, but last time when I went for a ride I couldn't go anywhere! It will start up and idle fine, and you can rev in neutral for days, but as soon as you put it into gear and give it gas, it bogs way down and stalls.

Any idea's? Please help ASAP

No, it didn't always happen. Like I said, it was running great one day, and the next day it did this.

Please explain this mod? Never heard of it..

I'd pull that carb off and check your jets. sounds like you got one plugged.

If it's under factory warranty, is that something that would be covered? Could I just take it in and tell them I have no idea whats wrong, and have it fixed without paying anything?

I really don't have much time to work on it myself before I go riding.

you said its an 06 right? Unless you bought an extremely old overstock I wouldn't imagine you are under warranty!

if the u.s is the same as canada here u have 30 days no matter what to take it back or anything like i had my 06 for 2 weeks and it was used and the crank went and they went good for it

The original owner purchased an extended warranty. I have the card and it says Dec, 2009

How do I trace that wire? Where is it supposed to plug into?

Check the clip on your jet needle and see if it fell off.

Ive seen 2 yfz's come in our shop with the same problem. Try splicing the two wires together that go to the throttle override system on the carb. THESE ARE NOT THE TPS WIRES. Its the other two wires that run to the smaller connector plug and then to the carb. I dont remember the colors right off hand. Just jump them together on the harness side and see if the problem goes away. This was the fix on a 2008 model.

The other yfz was a 2007 and the wires running from the throttle housing to the connector were not plugged in. So make sure you check that just to be sure.

I think there are 2 wires by the clutch too... does it have a kill switch?
