spark plug type question

im just looking through the honda service manual for the 400ex, and its saying that i can run one of two different plugs. they reccomend one for extended high speed riding. wondering why theyd do that and what the difference is between the two? just a heat range perhaps ?

they reccomend dpr8z
and dpr9z for the extended high speed riding, both are an ngk plug.

That's what I figured aswell. So its gonna fowl a little quicker if I'm not riding hard I'm guessing
