Second quad?

Ok my son is 7years old and riding an Apex 70.We are at the tracks for about 8 to 11 hrs. doing interval training every week and all the hours are really wearing the Apex down so i have been thinking of getting him another training quad and put less strain on the race quad.I know a lot of you guys have moore than one quad for your riders,any advice at what to buy?Also he will be moving up to a 250 shifter at age 10.Apriciate any input.:D

If you are using it strictly as a practice quad the best thing to do is have the exact same kind of quad that he has now. Same set up, everything.

I guess that translates to what my buddy told me he did when he was road racing,same set up on both bikes or you will be of the track sooner than you know it.I guess if we can get one at a fair price that is what we will do.Got a Kazuma 90 for free to day,this will bee his banger quad.:devil: if it survives the day LOL.

A 250 shifter at 10?

Jupp they can race stock 250 four stroke and 200cc Blaster stock.All the kids have to take a new licence at age 10 and then they are alowed to race at the biggest tracks.

If my kid was going to be on a shifter next, I'd be getting a Cobra.
Can you even get them in Norway?

No the Cobra is not available in Norway yet but the Scandinavian Apex importer in Danmark is now also the main importer for the Cobra,not shure what class it will run in here in Norway yet,however we do get the 85cc KTM based E-atv here and it has to run in the 250 class and the rider has to be 12yrs.old.and 10yrs.for Raptor 250.

Well Sondre decided that he wanted to race the 100 at the first round at the South region championship.The first round was at our home tracks and he won both motos.:D So i guess both Apexes need to be race quads.:D

Thanks,it just tok Sondre 2 days of training before the race to learn the 100 strong points and week points over the 70.But still the 100 needs some upgrades we want to have both quads in race trim.:D
