I need longer cables!

I need to raise my bars up a couple of inches and the throttle cable and clutch cables are pulling too tight. I heard that the 300ex has a longer clutch cable and can run it below the header and not through it. Is this true? how about a longer throttle cable? I do have the 450r carb. Am I gonna have to have one made?

Use a 250X clutch cable, the 93 model I believe is what you want. You can route it down and alongside the frame instead of through the headers. I just had Motion Pro make a custom Terminator +15.25" over stock clutch cable (routes perfectly down the frame). It was a little more expensive than the 250X cable, but I wanted the smoother pull/longevity of the Terminator cable housing. Not sure about the longer throttle cable, i'm sure there is one that will be longer, but worst case scenario hit up Motion Pro and they will make you whatever you want.

when i put my 2" rox risers on, i just had to take the cables out of the guides near the steering stem, and move the throttle assembly in on the bar just a hair; it's been fine for over a season now.

yup ive laready tried it the 300ex cables are about a good 6 to 8 inches longer than the stock cables on the 400
