I have the Sparks CDI and have nothing but good things to say. Nice and smooth all across the board and not a single starting issue like I have heard with some of the other boxes.

I've got the Moose CDI and I like it a lot. Zero problems.

ok cool. Yeah I want the sparks but its kinda pricy so I wanted to make sure it was a good product. Did you feel any more power gains Sinister95Z?

I felt a definite increase in performance. Not exactly horsepower so to speak, but it just felt like everything came on much smoother and more potent. The extra revs are nice, but from what I can tell it feels like peak horsepower is reached before the old rev limit anyways. Once I go 416 or 440, I will take more advantage of the benifits.

Does the Sparks have a rev limiter? The Moose one I have doesn't seem to and I'd kinda like to get one that does and had thought about the Curtis Sparks.

The Sparks CDi is set up to be 1000 rpm's over the stock limiter. I have not hit it yet, but that is what I was told by Sparks.

the current technology in cdi boxes have whats called a soft touch rev limit.

what they do is as they get close to the rev limit, they retard the timing 3-6 degrees and the motor stops pulling power so you shift to the next gear.

Its not like your oem one, where it goes bang, bang, bang

Dunatic is right. They all are gonna have a similar timing curve. The 400ex makes its power before the rev limit and these boxes get you to shift while being at the top or last bit of power gain before the limit. I have a white bros. and it has been great.

yeah i was either thinkin the sparks or the procom. The procom is cheaper so I might get that one but idk yet.
