Just thought I would post a few pics of Austin riding at Breezewood a couple weeks ago.It was his first time at a track on the Raptor. It needs some tweaks in the suspension department but overall I think it performed very good.

Thanks Tina. The front suspension was too soft and he was bottoming out a little much.He blew out one of the rubber stops on the bottom of the shock and it flexed the upper shock mounts enough to crack the paint off of them lol.

Yeah,I am glad to be done with the minis.Big quads are cheaper LOL.Austin is only 10 but we aren't racing anyways...just riding for fun.
Tell Brandon Happy Birthday and congrats on clearing that jump!!I want to see some pictures.

In the second pic down in my original post,Austin overshot that jump his first time around and completely flat landed :scary: I figured something was broke for sure. After that he got it figured out.Going from a 2 stroke cvt to a four stroke shifter is quite a change.

Nice pics!!! I have a 250 raptor and I live in spicewood and have been taking my fourwheeler to the trails but there's no jumps just backwoods trails. Me and my budddies have been looking for a track with some real jumps to take my fourwheeler to. Where in Austin is this?

Jason,
Were headed to Utah next week end to do some test riding at Z-broz on some new stuff they are building for the Raptor 250.
Brandon is VERY excited to ride one ! He is very anxious to sell his DRR this fall so we can buy one. lol
I was curious however how it pans up next to the 300ex? Its tough to beat the dependability of the 300ex, just curious on how the 250 has been preforming for Austin .
I know one of the first things we will be doing is gussets and reinforcing the motor mounts.
Brandon fits perfectly on the 250 now , I was just hoping it will allow LESS wrenching than the minis do.

And for the record....that was teasing you about the pics and Austin about the jumps:devil: Nothin but luv brotha nuttin but luv!

I will pm you the second I hear from you know who about you know what....why do you always end up trying this new stuff out first!

Tina....That is great that Zbroz is on board with the Raptor 250.There stuff is very good quality.
As far as a side by side comparison of the Raptor and the 300ex,Austin hasn't ridden a 300ex so I can't really say but I can tell you what I do know. The Raptor 250's physically smaller size is what attracted me to it initially. It was a perfect fit with room to grow for Austin. They both have pros and cons. The Honda is tried and true and engine builders and suspension companies have it figured out and know what works.I can tell you that the Raptor frame is not very tough. Our mini frames held up better :ermm: So far, other than that it is just check the oil, fill the gas tank and let him rip.ALOT less maintainence than the minis......you will be pleased.

Kenny,LOL...I knew what you meant.I just thought it would be fitting to add the comment :p
Yes,let me know as soon as you get the info.I have got to get this done soon and I see no reason to go with another stocker.
Not sure why I end up being the guinea pig :D

eww... now that worries me ..:uhoh:
I bet we have 50 lbs of welds on his mini. :p

We plan on getting it done before any racing, when the time comes Ill have to go threw and find reviews from other members on where to watch and fix problem spots.
Im sure having good suspension will help too.

Ours has not been gusseted so I am sure that would help overall.Where ours bent though, gussets wouldn't have mattered.I just found it this weekend and it is pretty bad.We have good suspension too..........and Austin only weighs 85 lbs :ermm:

If you get some pics of it, Id love to see where it bent. Anything a modification could fix? Ill take some of this info with me next week if you like and pick the guys brain if its something that maybe can be remedied.
Maybe covered by warrenty?? I know Im grasping .. lol
Thats not good if a 85 lb kid is bending a 250 frame. :ermm:

Even though we all know he rides like the big dawgs!! :D :macho

Nice pics Jason. I think I'm gonna sell my KFX 400 (just collecting dust anyways) and get one of those 250 Raptors. The sooner I get out of the minis the better. LOL

I have only been messing with these minis for a couple of years. You two were at it far longer than me and I'm complaining. LOL.
