300 ex neutral safety switch

quad starts great with neutral light on when cold but does not want to light up when warm. Ideas? (we ride for a while but have to turn it offf and let it cool down for a while for the light to come on again) Is there a short in the neutral switch that is aggrevated by the heat?

If you dont wanna mess with having to wait and just bypass the whole neutral and reverse safety switches by grounding the two wires on the right side of the case under the black guard. The lights are always on but you can start it in any gear and not have to worry about it.
