everyone can post their mods and have someone experienced guess their horsepower if you do not know it.

K&n filter, no lid
hotcam stage one

what is my hp? around 30?

probably still 28 but you got more torque with that set-up.

416 11:1 comp
C&D Ported head
Stg 2 cam
White bros slip on
EHS lid

I hope to get this thing dyno'd soon if money permits me, hope to make somewhere in the 35-38 hp range.

i have a hi-comp JE 89mm piston (435cc)
4-stroke tech port/polish
webcam (bottom-mid)
hi-performance valves and springs
k&n
DMC exhaust

i would estimate about 32-35 hp and about 35 torque.

Mods are in my sig, compression ratio is about 11.3:1.

I figure my quad makes about 43-44hp and about 35 lb-ft of torque.

I have Dyno sheets from 2 different Dyno's and they are not the same??? I'm looking for the 3rd to see if there is a similar reading. I got 32 on one and almost 38 on another. I thought these were low?

it is extremely hard to get more than 40 horses out of this motor. and to get 40 it will cost you alot of money, and a big bore/ hi-compression is necessary.

with all do respect, you guys with 416 and 440 claiming near 40 isn't realistic.

It does take a lot of work to get an EX over 40hp, but it's not impossible. I would love to put my quad on a dyno, Drew416 has a very similar setup to mine--minus the E85 and Sparks key--and his setup made 46hp.

What I'm sayin' is that the Dyno's seem unreliable. I had 2 done within a month with no change to the quad on separate dyno's and they were 6hp different. I'm having a hard time trusting them. looking for the 3rd one to see what the average is.

If you look at the jetting thread that zrpilot made, sticky, you can see the dyno runs from my motor, they are 36 point something, so i round up to 37hp. That is a 416 with near 40 hp its quite possible.

all i am saying is it is hard to do. also, if you look at the chart the powercurve is changed in the favor of horsepower and torque is sacraficed for high numbers. the way i had my motor built was to increase the power throughout the powerband while maintaining a similiar output curve. also the stock motor is bottled up as you know when guys where building motors early in the 400's career there were alot of reliability issues. i.e. head studs/gaskets, cam chains and valve guides.
