when do I need new thumb throttle?

When adding a bigger carburetor I assume at some point the stock thumb throttle is not going to be able to open up the bigger carb all the way?...How big can I go till this happens and what is everybody running for a throttle when they get to this point?

I went with a drr thumb throttle it worked well for our 28mm Keihin pe. Im not using it any more.

So is it likely that the stock eton throttle will work a 28mm koso ok?..The stock carb is only 16mm..

We ran a stock throttle with a 28mm carb with no promblem.
