Question.

Between the axle and the hub (rear), I have some play when I wiggle the rear wheel. It's like this on both sides. Is this a simple fix by tighenting the nut, in the middle of the hub outside? Is this indicative of any other problems?

just pull the cottering pin out and tighten it up alot.you may even want to use some thread lock.then put a new pin in and you should be good to go.
you may also want to lift the rear end off the ground and wiggle the axle to make sure its not coming from anywhere else.

What he said^ Get a big socket that fits on the castle nut and crank it down tight as you can. Mine hasn't moved since.

You can also get a lock washer and not have to worry about it again once you tighten it up.

So do these work loose pretty often? Everything else seems tight.

mine just did that the other day, 1 1/16 socket on the castle nut, but be careful if you use any kind or thread lock because you get it on the splines and your hub will not come off easy, make sure only to get it on the nut threads. i put anti seize on all the splines i can get to on my quad i hate fighting things like that.

Put some Loctite on and you'll be fine. Just watch the splines.
