View Full Version : What is your dream job?

Other than being a Pro ATV rider or ATV mechanic ( cuz I know you all want to be a Pro LOL).... what is your dream job?

For me it would be to become a pilot and fly either helicopters or to fly fixed wing aircrafts. I wouldn't want to be a commercial pilot ( like those flying passengers from city to city) , but rather I'd like to work with the Natural Resources departments and be on a fire fighting crew.

I remember the exact day I said " Man I want to do that" ... I was out fishing on a lake and this Water Bomber came overhead , circled the lake and then came down and scooped the water a few times. The precision with which they worked and the sound the engines had me hooked. Right now I'm studying to work in a different field , but this "dream job" could be something I pursue later on.

Building custom cars or motorcycles.. I'm trying like hell to make it my job but it's wearing me down anymore.. I'm always damn exhausted! the long hours suck and you never get a day off if you have my boss.. :scary:

When I was younger I always wanted to become a crew chief for a GNCC atv racer or become a test rider.. But I guess you stick with what is close and easy to get for the time being.. :(

Build Performance Engines, specifically Fords, would also include the cars receiving the engines, and of course, racing my own bad *** cars on the weekends for advertisement !

When I was younger, quads were my thing, 4 wheels of fun, but the older I get, the more I get into cars/trucks. Let me tell you, boost is addicting

i want to work at a shop like on "Unique Whips" i loooove cars, but not so much fixing them as a mechanic would, thats boring to me,lol. i want to mod cars, install wheels, tint, stereos, turbos etc. when i see a car i instantly picture what i would do to it if i had it, if i could just work somewhere that i actually do that for a living, that would be amazing!

Im unemployed and just "goof" off all the time and make money (unemployment) and its slowly loosing its spark, i have no idea really where 2 turn right now so i just sit around online and think alot...

Im actually taking AP psychology classes right now,and im in 11th grade!

I figure by the time I graduate highschool, I'll have close to my first year and a half of college under my belt.:p

Then i'll only have liek 9 and a half more years... :ermm:

If that falls through, I am really considering the USMC.

Not for the killing or the BAMF status, but because my dad is a Marine, my grandpa is a Marine, my great grandpa is a Marine (I say is because, once a Marine.. Always a Marine).

I wanna be one of those high paid atvriders.com moderators;) I hear thats where the money's at!!! but my second choice would be to have an atv dealership but more of an atv mall with every different brand and breed. that way the companies would all try harder to have the best bike on the market. wouldn't it be cool if you could walk up to a dealership with a yfz450r, trx450r, ltr450, kfx450r, ds450, and ktm 450, drive them all at one location and pick the one you want?

my dream job would be to test out new quads/cars/trucks for the companies. getting paid to drive, and push it to the limit, to test the quality. sounds like fun.

but as for a job that is more sensible and easier to find, i would like to basically have my old job back. working at the local shop, talking to those who ride, getting cheap parts, and just having fun.

Be on a top fuel/pro stock/ motorcycle drag racing team. I would like to be a mechanic that travels with the crew, being the driver I think there would be way to much stress to do good, its really dangerous(Maybe pro stock i would race), and theres barely a chance to be one.

Edit: Superstock would be sweet to be a driver, already got the car for it, but wouldn't make any $$

You know what's funny, I've enjoyed almost EVERY job I've ever done, with a few obvious exceptions (like washing dishes). I've gone from one extreme to another, I went directly from waiting tables to design engineering, and I enjoyed them both equally.

I worked on jet engine components, applying thermal coatings with robots.

I waited tables.

I tested dirt and rocks for roadbed construction.

I tested polymer glues and fillers.

I tutored physics, trig, and calculus.

I designed electronics.

Currently, I deal blackjack, craps, and roullette.

And oddly enough, I enjoyed all of them. My dream job might very well be whatever it is I'm doing at the moment, only getting paid more for it. If I were to nail it down to one thing, it would probably be ATV mechanic, because I really do enjoy wrenching almost as much as riding.

And again, oddly enough, the thing I HATE doing is nothing. I can't stand it. We have slow seasons in the casino, and we're just standing around doing nothing, and every day I want to put a gun in my mouth.

you seem like a very optomistic person who makes the best out of anything. i also was a math tutor when i was in college. it is fun to show calculus students what it actually does as professors kill you with proofs and tons of problems.
