I am running a stock 50 LC and we are trying to get the bike jetted for a uni filter with a stock crome snorkle. I have it running great with the stock air filter and snorkle but no luck with the uni. I have went up as far as a 125 main and it still has a bluber. I also went up on the needle . I did one adjustment at a time still not good. I can put my stock filter on and a 105 m and it runs like a champ. How much farther should I go up.

I first did try it with the 105 and it was real bad. It would die if you tried to pin the throttle... .. I am not sure what is going on. I have had guys tell me on a stock 90 that they have to run a 148. I just want to run a better filter thats is all..

I would go up about 7 points on the main jet and drop the needle 1 clip to lean out the mid range and should be good from your stock air filter. The key with these is dropping the needle when you move up in main jet sizes. Obviously you will have to play with the air screw and idle screw for off idle stuff but that should get you real close.

With the snorkle, Uni, and vforce reeds but otherwise stock I am in the 120-125 range on a 90. Most of the 90's I see are in the 105-110 range.

the last predator 90 i built for a customer i had a 175 main in a 28 kehin carb with the snorkel run up under the front nose cone. with the snorkel your jetting is far from the normal settings. I start high and come down till they run how i like. P.S. it took one guy 3 melted pistons before he started high and came down.

Thanks forgiven. I will give that a try. when you say points do you mean sizes mine only go by five with my little 16mm carb. So if I was at a 105 go to a 140 ? Or go to a 115 size ?

Thanks.

I mean you are probably looking at a 110, 112, or a 115.

They make the inbetween sizes but it seems hit or miss whether it is 2 or 3 depending on the numerical gap.

Thanks I thought that is what you meant. I will give it a shot.
