Just as the title says. I have a Sparks header and slip-on. Its just too loud for where I ride sometimes. Any opinions of what to look for? Manufacturer? Would other slip-ons work with the Sparks header?

Forgot to add to the post above. I would trade it for a quieter exhaust if anyone has something. I also posted it up in the classifieds too.

The Yoshi exhaust with the TEC spark arrestor installed, which is how them come new, is very quiet.

I have heard the fmf Q is the quietest aftermarket. The next best bet is the stocker at 87dB. steve

x2 !

The FMF Q doesn't rob power. My bud has one on his 440EX and it works great. I'll be getting one myself before too long...I am trying to sell my HMF, which is too loud even with the arrestor and quiet core.

Surely not an HMF Sport or 2bros slipon.

I've had both and they are deafening.

That does not sound too high. Does anyone actually know what the Q is for dB's? I am curious. My t-3 is about 95 w/o the quiet core. I made one for it but am not sure if it actually works or just makes it pop more annoying. I took it out cause at least it sounds good with it out. Steve

Thanks for all the input guys. I think I'm gonna start trying to sell my Sparks and get the FMF. Any suggestions on what header to run? As far as I know the motor is stock but jetted for the pipe also has a K&N with lid removed. I do plan on building a mild 416 or 426 next winter so whatever I go with will need to work with that.

Powerbomb would be a good one to get as long as it works. Otherwise if you want a bit more low end use the stock header and just grind out the welds inside. Steve

Anyone know what the difference between the q4 and the q2 besides the 2 looks to have a different endcap and a different color? steve

I'm interested in the Two Bros slip on. Does anyone here use one?

I run a 2B & I like it alot. You can also buy different tips for it to quiet it down if it's to loud open.

That's why I'm looking at it. I'm looking for the quietest aftermarket exhaust I can get while still providing a performance benefit.

I'm just about positive it will.

As I understand it, the FMF slip-on will fit either the stock header or the Powerbomb. This must mean the the Powerbomb has the same sized outlet as a stocker, therefore any slip-on should fit it.

Here is a thread with a bunch of audio clips of different types of exhausts. This might help you out.

an old trick is to take off the end cap of a stock exhaust and drill about 10 1/4" size holes in the middle baffle plate to relieve back pressure. put the cap back on and you will feel a difference there is a lot more bottom end. if you check the dyno charts, all the slip ons gain about 1 HP over stock but almost 5 ft lbs of torque. well this mod does about the same thing. yet the system remains very quite. if you want to get crazy take off the metal band that holds the spark arrester screen on (very hard) then with the screen out of the way you can cut off the little resonator tip to open up the outlet cap from like 1" to 2 1/2" you can then put the screen and band back on to look like a stock system that is not very loud.
