Could someone please get me these dimensions, as shown in the pic below:

http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/2695/250rmeasurements.png (http://img521.imageshack.us/my.php?image=250rmeasurements.png)
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/250rmeasurements.png/1/w904.png (http://g.imageshack.us/img521/250rmeasurements.png/1/)

also the dimension between the front shock mount holes.

I need them for both a narrow front frame and a wide front frame, preferably laeger but they should all be similar right?

thanks, mark

Most aftermarkets are the exact same as stock. Laeger narrow fronts are exactly 2" narrower in the front.

thanks but i dont even have a stock one to measure!

i am trying to figure out if a laeger banshee chassis im looking at is in fact exact same geo as 250r

could you also please tell me how far apart the upper a arm mounts are? for example on one side of the frame, how far apart are the rear and forward upper a arm mounts?

same for the bottom

thanks, mark

I have a Laeger protrax banshee narrow frame. These are not the same as the 250r's like envy said...they are 2" narrower then a 250r just like all laeger narrow frames. The banshee protrax frame uses the 250r protrax lower arms and banshee upper arms with 250r protrax spindles and has a bigger diameter protrax stem. Where in the states is the banshee you are looking at???

Well those measurements will be useless then because a Laeger banshee frame is NOT identical to a 250R geometry. It is an adjusted geometry, meaning the front end uses a 250R style front end, the rake is built in - banshees have no rake and the rear end is a CR500 link.

Like Jonny said, it also uses a banshee upper a-arm so the top positions will be the same as a banshee.

Here is a shot of my Laeger protrax banshee...there is 5 3/8" between the top arms and 3 5/8" between the lower arms. As you can see there IS a rake to the front end unlike stock banshees and it has a cr500 rear link unlike stock banshees. I hope this helps you identify what you are looking at.

thank you very much johnny B! i knew the top arms were different, im assuming it is to clear the pipes on a banshee engine..

the chassis im looking at is in pennsylvania, and is set up for xc. it has a pro trax front end but i fear that being set up for xc it will be too narrow for me, as i want to use it for mx and TT. i want it to be around 48-49 inches wide at the front with 4+1 offset rims.

i found a guy selling a complete +4+1 250R protrax front end, and was wondering if i could fit that to the chassis. sounds like i could use everything except the top arms, which im sure wouldnt be hard to get someone to make, like maybe tony kellner or hre atv.

so johnny b would you say that the bottom arms and spindles etc (everything except the top arms basically) are the same on a laeger banshee chassis as a laeger 250r chassis?

thanks again, mark

If you are considering buying that one, I'd make sure you get him down at least $1500 cause it might be cheaper to just buy a NEW one with a ball joint front end.

i would love to buy a new one, but im pretty sure its next to impossible, especially with all the stuff thats happening with laeger's at the moment?

i also need to contact HRE atv to see if hell make me one, do you know of anyone else that does that sort of work?

He'll make most anything you want, it just takes some time/patience. He did what others laughed at me about, a custom trike frame. Right now he's building me another trike, crf450r tank/shrouds/radiator/motor, trx450r suspension, swingarm and anything custom to get it all together. Here is pics of his work.

My banshee protrax stem is 1 1/4" diameter...ask the seller for the diameter of the protrax 250r stem. I think they are different??? Maybe 1 1/8"???

Actually now is the best time to get one. IF you can afford it, you can get one. I almost got one, but wasn't sure about if I could get the a-arms. I know now that I'd be able to, so it wouldn't be an issue.

I just bought a NEW 2009 Laeger 250R frame - I also have a new custom HRE frame - see my sig for details. I believe Mike could make one for you, but since it wouldn't be much of a price difference, might as well buy it from Laeger since they already have the jigs. Plus I think Mike at HRE can do very creative stuff and is a skilled fabricator but since he doens't have any jigs and he would have to custom make it like my frame, it would take a long time. My HRE frame is around 20 months. My Laeger frame took 3 weeks.

Just food for thought.

LSR also sells a banshee frame that is setup to use the 250R geometry front as well as No-link rear end. They call it the outlaw banshee.

here you go buddy, im running a 2003 PRP no link chassis

A- 7 inches center to center
B-5 1/2 c-c
C-5 1/4 c-c
D-36'ish...
i checked my upper shock mounts as well and they were 10 3/4 Center to center...

another thing i know about the prp chassis is that they change the rake on them over the stock chassis as well i think it is 14* stock and its 15* on the PRP or something like that...

also 250Renvy, i think that LSR is made made by another factory... i was told...dont know if its 100% true... but im i have a reliable source...
