400ex oil cooler - Bigger Please

I would love for my 400 to run a little cooler. A friend of mine said that he had heard about people using some "street bike" oil cooler on a 400EX that was a direct bolt on. This was supposed to be a honda part. Anyone know anything about that?
I really don't want the pingrys oil tank

I haven't heard of any bolt on factory honda coolers.. if anyone has any info, pass it on, as I'd also like to get a larger cooler, but I'd prefere not to 'cob' something together..

What cooler are u talking about? The tank (resivoir) where the oil is held? Or that thing above it with the screen, know what I mean?

Most folks (I think) buy the bigger tank... for big dollars and another quart or so of oil. I am talking about the oil cooler... or radiator like thingy just above the tank itself. A buddy of mine told me he heard there was another Honda part that would directly replace the factory 400EX cooler, only it's bigger. I guess more rows and fins.

I have switched from the Honda GN4 oil to Mobile 1 Synthetic to try to get the valve train noise to quiet down when the engine gets hot. So far it has worked. (This is my first use of synthetic oil.) But I think a cooler would really do alot of good. Oh, my valves are adjusted correctly, its just that with the stock muffler, you can hear everything.

I'm going to buy some airscoops like the 250r has for my oil cooler to keep it alittle cooler.

Yeah I thought about getting some Maier fins,,,,and see if I could do that,,plus the maiers are cheap and if it won't work no big loss,,but there are guys out there using 250r scoops on 400ex's. I guess that'll be added to my winter project list.
