Did anyone see the monster truck backflip playing in the background jumbotron during the Vegas SX race? When they were interviewing guys at the start of the show it was playing in the background. Looked to be a full truck inside an arena.

From what I have been told the backflip on the first page is not the first one ever done, but it is the first one ever done (and completed) in front of a crowd.
Tom Meents did kind of an accidental one at a show a while back.
Then Travis attempted one at his house.

Although somewhere there is some footage of Meents practicing and succesfully doing the backflip before the world finals.
Then last is some footage of Travis driving and competing in the world finals. Although he did not attempt a backflip.

those are fake backflips...they don't even move forward. Or get that much air, none the less it's still amazing but it's just not the same.

i think the reason travis didnt make it and the reason the guy in the first post did, is because travis's ramp wasnt verticle and pointed slightly forward. where the othere guy hardly even went above the ramp.

Travis tried to make a distance flip. It can be done, everything just has to be perfect to do it....

Not an ungodly gap, just a jump...alittle forward action thats all. It could be done...it's just really expensive if you mess up lol..
