$300, and came with a lot of good parts(exhaust, seatcover, bars)
It needs rings and ignition, the brakes are horrible, tires are good, and the plastics and frame aren't horrible.
Can anyone tell me what nerfs these are? I need to order replacement nets...

Also, I plan on rebuilding most everything. LMK tips, ideas, & suggestions!

Trying to keep it "low buget"
And I'll keep posting pics of progress and things in here.

Thanks.

you could sell it to me and make money off of it. how did you find this?? sounds like a really good deal on your part

if you keep it, i have a black and white leather seat cover $10 shipped

if you part it out, im looking for an airbox breather

Yeah, I've got quite a bit to do to it, but for $300, plus the money I'm gonna put in it. I got a killer deal.

I bet it needs rings hopefully thats it from the look of that air box and filter man! that guy must not of believed in pre filter spray.

On the other hand it dont look bad nerfs look alot like DC fat bars same as my bro has on his 450R but also like a type of AC pegs that are run.

For the axle get the back end in the air then shift into first. then while the axle is spinning hold sand paper up to it and that should get it looking nice. good luck

I would strip it down to just a rolling frame, and then take that and the engine in and have it all bead blasted to get all of the corrosion and old paint off. That would get it all cleaned up very quickly, and you could paint it and polish it after that to keep the rust away. I heard refrigerator paint is pretty tough.

Before you tear into the engine, I would get it all back together and fire it up. Why waste time and money on a rebuild that you don't need? I'd say it's a good find, though.

I want to try and get it rebuilt, with frame PC'D and swingarm and things, but as I was tearing it down today, I saw a few pricey things I'm going to have to replace. I may just part it out, or sell it all and pick up another project, that needs much less work...

Depends how much all the parts add up to..

The price for pretty much new everything is around $1300-1400
but considering the bike was $300, that'd be $1600 for a bike with +2 arms, new style plastic & all. So I figure I'll be pullin the motor and all out tomorrow and get started.

I'm gonna need some help I'm sure, so keep checkin in.

Okay today I started tearing into the motor, the valves are nasty, but the springs are good. Cam and timing chain are good too.
I started getting all the way down to the piston when I got held back. the second part to the top end wont come off, i dont know if im missing a bolt or what, can anyone help me out?
this is my first time tearing down anything bigger than a pitbike so imma newb.

There are four cylinder bolts that are under the head gasket, and then two 8mm hex head bolts at the base of the cylinder on the cam chain side (right side). If you have all of those removed, you may just have to use a little force to break the cylinder loose from the case.

I got all the bolts, I must not be applying enough force.
Whats the best way to break it loose without breaking anything?

I think I found a place to pry between the case and cylinder, but you have to be very careful doing it. You may also want to try using a block of wood and a small sledge hammer to knock it loose.

Okay thanks. I will do that today before I leave.
