Hello.

I bought this 2000 TRX400EX recently. It has a 426 kit installed with a stage 2 Hot Cams cam, modified suspension, and some ghetto rigged stuff.

While ripping on it the other day, the timing chain came off the crank sprocket. I tore the motor down, inspected the gears, everything seems fine, no broken or worn down teeth, no ridge or scars on the cylinder, valves look to be in good shape.

I just put the cylinder back on and am not 100% certain that cylinder bolts (all 4) need washers. I have 2, but don't recall taking 4 washers out. Same thing for the head nuts, do all four of them need washers as well?

I already have the torque specs and am ready to throw this beast back together, but don't want to leave anything out that I might have overlooked.

Thanks for any input.
