Can someone tell me the stock offset for a 400ex? I am buying hiper rims, and I don't know what they use for the front, 4+1 or 3+2 ???

I don't want a wider front end then it already is.

3+2 is the stock offset and if you want ur front narrower then go with 4+1 rims.

factory is 4+1.

This is not true, the right answer is 3+2.

It's either 3.5 x 2 or 2.5 x 3 there rim is actually a wierd measurment, I really find it hard to believe that the stock offset would be 4+1.5 when you use a 4+1 offset rim for +3 arms.

I've been searching this for a couple hours now and thats what I came up with.

I didnt think you were trying to be smart like that I just wanted to clearly state for the record to everyone that was not the right offset not trying to sound rude at all.

To answer your question i'm sure RockyMountain carries steel wheels or try Motosport or Magic Racing, the 3+2 offset is easier to find in my opinion than the 2+3.

Dennis kirk may also have some 3+2. they are a bit more common i think too. I have some douglas qaudroks that are 3+2. They work good. Steve

Have you considered the ITP Baja wheels, there decently priced and come with reinforcement rings on boths sides. Yes there more than steelies but you wont have the added weight like them either and they come in either polished or black if that is a concern.

Just throwing that out for ya. There around 90 a rim last time I checked.

I've ran the Baja 3+2 on HD's (last set) and I felt they were rather strong over stock but I dont do any trails or stuff like that mostly open field riding, but for what I could dish out I think there worth it.

2+3 offset will create alot of bumpsteer and put stress on ur tierod ends and balljoints, and 3+2 will make your front 1 inch wider. Personally i'd go with a 3+2 offset you will feel much better and its just a more common offset.

alright, im gonna get 4+1 hipers... i don't wanna be any wider!

thanx guys
