I got an 08, the only problems with those bikes and the valves in them. Ive got mine in the shop right now gettin new kibblewhite SS valves in it, i hope that will fix it. And another thing thats so bad is ive got a brand new set of graphics and plastic waitin to be put on it when i comes back to, its bad lookin at a set of hart and huniting graphics on white plastic just sittin around the house haha.

1K for a dual carbon is acutally below retail. They're usually like $1400 or so.

hey kxrida i was at the rocket saturday. track was a little muddy at first but then got nice but i still dont know how much i like that track:ermm: the jumps are fairly small but the landings scare the chit out of me. only parts i really liked are the wide open up hills and the rhythym section along the back corner.:ermm:

Jesse, I love when bike guys post that they hate those steep, short landers...those are there for the bike guys because Lord knows that the quad riders don't like them. There are too many tracks here in NC that focus on building entire tracks with very short, steep landers...better hit 'em perfectly on a quad or you are going to be in some pain. You guys need to complain more because nobody listens to a quad rider. ;)

Up there you really have to nose into the landings. I usually throw a brake tap in on everything right before the landing and it sets me up pretty good for them. I was only there once last year and wasn't really happy with the track layout. I'm still trying to get a hold of wolfmann's mx to see if they're opening up or not. I've been running this track in philipsburg that's not half bad called wildridemx. The landings are fairly forgiving as well. I cased the 80' step up in the mud and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Yah the suspension work did most of the work, but I just kinda bounced off of it.

btw, adjust your chain!!!

i wont be at the track this will be mostly a trail bike and an occasional trip to the dunes. didnt want to spend a ton and think i got an alright deal

you will love it, the valves arent that bad. when it starts gettin hard to start(even whens its hot) then you know you need to shim them. you can only push start them so long before they pull through the head.

i'd say not worth it. its 2 hours from me, but i'd rather drive the extra half hour and pay the extra $15 and ride at breezewood. although i do need to ride at bike tracks more often, those ruts were kicking my *** at first.

i only went this weekend because a local shop rented out the track for the weekend so there was lots of games, free food, partying, etc... and i knew a lot of people so:ermm: i kinda doubt ill be riding there much more though except when we go to our cabin thats 5 mins down the road...

Yah I may go up sometime just to check it out but I'm not sure. The ruts up there are so-so. I was hammering pretty well at the last race through the ruts. I'm telling ya, the faster you go through them the easier they are!

today at breezewood i took my friends 03 honda 450 for a spin. first time i had riden a bike on a track other than my own.... and i'm sure i was running VERY close lap times on that bike than i was on my 250. i think i'm gonna finish this year on my 250 and we'll see for next year. but man i love the power of the 450 and i think i was a lot easier on the bike, i beat the piss out of mine trying to make it go faster.

A 450 suits me better as a rider as well. I'm slowly on the hunt for a 450, but I do not want to race the 450 class. That is one of the major reasons why I'm not ready to make the jump. I'm fairly competitive with the 250's, but after watching the 450 guys I just don't know.

tryin to head out to do the race at breezewood, thats always a good time...

but my parents are takin our truck to the cabin and all my friends are going to the beach that weekend or can't go sunday, so i''m tryin hard to get a ride together. or maybe rig something up and take the seats out of our mini van and use that but idk how well that would go over. i'll know a little better by thursday or so.
