400ex cam

when ridin a 400ex, can u tell the difference between a stage 1 cam and stage 2 cam. i was told my bike was a 440, but id like to figure out if it has a cam in it without just assuming. any help would be great

a stage 1 would be snappy down low, but fall on its face up top with a 440. Stage 2 should feel pretty good throughout the rpm range.
