trouble shifting with a big bear '92

i have a yamaha big bear 4X4 special edition 1992 and i can't get it into 5th gear... i'm gonna change the oil in it this qeek but i would like to know if there is something else i can do too...

The shift drum problably has a lip worn into the top of the 4th gear channel before 5th that its getting snagged on or a damaged shift fork
