Ok guys it finally came yesterday.. The Big 1/5th scale BAJA truck... :D Now when I say this is big this is BIG.. I would love to see what this thing could do at BPG... :p I would love Pappy to take some action photo's....

Make sure you have a good radio like futaba or something with those. A couple people at our local r/c track have them and the buggy and they said they like to run away!!!

That thing looks huge, you should take a pic of it next to something common that every one knows how big it is. Like a case of pop or a quad something to measure against.

And I would honestly trash the whole complete stock radio system and invest in a digital radio. you already about $1400 in, whats another $200?

Redcat makes it. I paid just under $700 for it new, no radio or receiver, but I run a futaba system anyway. It also needs about $300 in upgrades right off the bat to work more then 5 minutes. So far I've got an aluminum gear plate, aluminum steering block and carriers, digital steering and throttle servos, ddm race port 26.9 race port top end, ddm dominator exhaust, I converted to hpi 5T rims and tires, upgraded diffs, and a bunch of other crap I dont feel like remembering. I have about $1600 in it.

Performance.... It only does maybe 40, the 5T will do upper 40's stock. BUT, mine is 4wd and geared for bottom end. I can sit at an idle on asphalt, punch it and spin all 4 tires for about 10 feet before it goes. Sounds like a little kx60 running around.

Something like that, I added it up a few weeks ago. I have another 3 r/c ground cars I run also , none of them have under $500 invested in them, lol. And these are just the ones that run right now!

No big deal... I have a couple of upgrade parts sitting on the bench... I have a Futaba 4PK 2.4 GHZ radio.. I'm putting that in it when I have time to work on it... I haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet. I want to get all the work done to it first then I will start rippin it.. :D As for the truck it's about $1300 my radio $400 and my upgrades $600. I have about $2300 in mine and I haven't even ran it yet.. I have some extra cash laying around that I need to spend.. I'm looking at getting a pipe and some other small thing to help it stay together... I will post pics next to a 2 liter bottle of soda tonight.... Or even a bottle of beer.. :blah:

That's a nice truck you got there.. I do wish the Baja was a 4wd... They will probably release one that is next year but like I said earlier I haven't even had a chance to run it yet because I want to put all these parts on first...

i had a sportmaxx, crashed it once and decided i would put my money into something i can ride haha.

its still sitting in a crate in my garage.

Yeah I think so.. i know this one I have is a 26cc fuelie engine.. That picture of it on my coffee table doesn't so it justice.. It almost takes up the whole table and the table measure's 31" by 47". I will take some other picture with a soda can to give you a feeling of how big it really is.. I thought my Savage was big when I got that but this is just totally OUTTA CONTROL... :D

I work at a hobby shop, a guy brought it in brand new, said throttle wouldnt work so he brought it to us to figure out. It didnt have a battery pack so we called him to bring a battery pack, this carried on, calling him every few weeks to tell him we need the battery pack. And with this hobby shop, whenever you drop something off, you sign a paper which one of the things listed is after 15 days it becomes ours. So the shop owner named 60 bucks, took it on the spot. I had a dx 3.0, but I had more then 4 cars, plus there were some problems people were experiencing with the spektrum, so I went to futaba.

Also, the problem with the radio was endpoints were set to 0, and they don't come like that, so he must have done something to it.

Nice! That radio is awesome.

the 4pk is awesome. Make sure you put it in ppm mode. They come in hrs mode from the factory and will fry your servos in a matter of minutes. Unless you upgraded to digital servos.
