I have found a 2000 400ex that needs rings and ignition, and could use plastics.. The price is lets just say... VERY low.
Should I go for it and build it for the ground up?
Or just try to find something ready to go around my price range?

wow, is it stolen?, for that cheap you could do a complete rebuild and it would cost as much as buying a good used one.

No, it's not stolen.
The guy bought it from a friend who had a BAD MX crash and was paralized, he was planning on a rebuild but decided to sell out.

I'm calling him today to tell him I'll pick it up tomorrow.
