New taillight install

I just received a new yfz450 taillight that I'm dropping on my bike. The receiving harness on the light is a 3 prong outlet, and the 400 harness is a flat outlet. Would I need to replace the whole harness, or is there a way to just splice the wires together? I'm no sparky.....

If there are the same amount of wires, you can take the 400ex harness and splice it onto the 450 light. YOu want to find out what wire is for what for each bike so you have the right connections
