Well I think it looks alright....it shows a little bit of the black at the bottom but its a snug fit.

yuh we all run them here.. ive got the trimming down pretty good and they fit pretty sweet i love it and the grafix last way longer:)

Did you trim the edge at the bottom of the cover so it doesnt buldge out away from the tank? Post some pictures if you have any, I would like to see them.

yes i trim all the bottom so its only like a 1/4 inch at most, trim off the mount holes of course and i cut the strap in the rear to lat the cover fall down farther. some dont cut this but i think it helps it sit real good. and the cover stays on fine. i also cut a notch in the cover where it has the holes for the front frnders to mount to tank.

also trim all the little pcs inside the cover and remove the foam!

for this to work, do you only need the tank cover and the plastic heat shield that goes in between the tank and the valve cover?

Also, would this make your graphics not line up since it has a space at the bottom of the tank?

You only need the tank cover. As far as the graphics im sure they will line up just fine.

Mine dont line up horribly... i dont think so at least?
