Mixing oil bad?

Was wondering if its real bad to mix oil brands or even 10w30 with 20w50 just to top off the quad? I need to top off from time to time and have found myself with different oil. I really do try to not practice this, but just wondering.

no it wont do anything, your not supposed to mix regular oill and synthetic oil becausue it makes it separate and all the synthetic stuff goes to the top lol.

If I were you, i would mix diffrent brand oils, but not diffrent weights. If you have a little bit of 10w40 left in the bike, and you put 30 or 50 weight, it will make the oil thicker or lighter. It's ok to have it a little thicker than specs if you ride your bike hard. To thin and it won't disperse heat properly.

I usualy mix 80w120 with 5w 30 its usually a 60/40 mix then every other change I add 5cc's of brake fluid
