Reed spacers

Can someone explain to me if there is any benefit to reed spacers.

What would be an ideal situation to use them if at all.

Well you would benefit from them for the simple fact your rasing the reeds making it easier to open which would mean a more responsive throttle. You would feel more off the bottom and still pulling hard at the top I hope this helps you out.
