I posted this on the suspension page but was hoping to get more replies.

I just sold my 300ex and purchased a 450r. I ride some gncc and local cross country races. After riding the r some it feels like it beats me to death. Can you give me some help on setting up my stock shocks to fit my application and my weight of 160 lbs. I have done some searches but was hoping for more help.

Mine beat me up as well.......the rule of thumb that i use is set them as soft as you can without bottoming out...that will take some time to get right...but to be honest....mine were always harsh to me....so the cheapest alternative without buying aftermarket shocks is to send them off to be set up for your style of riding weight a arms etc.....Quinn motorsports did mine....what a diffrence it made

you want to set them up so that you bottom out once every lap
