did not care for the 09's at all until i just seen this pic, the hood makes a huge difference imo, is that the quadtech hood for the outlaw then? looking good man!!

The biggest reason I switched was price. Got this 525 S for $5200 brand new shipped to me. A smaller reason was it handled the tight XC race courses better. But if I didn't get the killer deal on the S, I would of got the IRS. But that $2000 savings bought most of my mods for this season.:D

I race the www.NEATV-mx.com Circut and im currently tied for second place in points and have to say that my 09 Polaris MXR is by far the best quad! It is lighter faster more nimble than my '08.

My '08 is for sale!! Probably hard to sell after how much I just talked up the 09 but the 08 is a great machine as well.

I cannot see why the 09 rear brakes are better. they are just in a different position right? Same caliper, same pads, same rotor.

Actually the 09 rotor is bigger. They say it gives better cooling. But I can't feel any difference, but I don't use my back brakes a lot.

The rath racing team went back to the 08 rotor because it was smaller and gave a bit more clearance. I guess they must be worried it will hit a rock and bend easier on the 09. both must be good enough!

I have to agree that the bigger rotor is a bad idea. A galafer style would be better. I put the 03 pred rotors on my fronts as they look like they would shed dirt better. I would love a galafar but I am going to pay that much.
