no offense to anyone, but thas why i almost never let anyone ride my quad, unless they know everything about it. or they have a quad of there own.

i know what you mean tho. people will ride and **** it up and swear they didnt do it. and then they wont wanna pay for it.

you can also take the handle for the reverse off and put a second gear shifter on it instead so you just kick the shifter down instead of reaching over every time I have DG nerfs and the shifter doesn't interfere at all.

i dont wanna go into that. i know it can be done

i think ill just do it the way ZSNOW showed me

I forget which wires I cut but I didn't have to install the chain and I don't need to push the button for reverse just cut the right wires.

I wonder what the difference between the custom(ebay) one and the stock one that I use is. probably just a longer length.

bobizzle

its a little longer and and the pad is square and wide. prob not tht much diff. you have a pic to see what yours looke like.

no sorry my camera is out of commission. Its just the stock shifter from a 300ex so I have 2 exactly the same.

i gotcha, the reverse sticks out a lil further than the gear shift pedal, correct?

Tommy Warren

yeah its 2-3 inches forward ans 1-2 inches lower.

do you eva have any problems with the position it is in, or would you suggest to do it on otha bikes

Tommy Warren

no like I said it doesn't interfere with the nerfs or the shifter. It may look kind of goofy but it works great. especially on my bike because my idle screw fell apart inside the carb and I have to keep the rpms up when shifting into reverse. Pushing a little red button and reaching over the seat to shift in reverse is the dumbest design I have ever came across.
