I just received my Pro Armor Fat Pegs today. Can anyone who has these verify the tubing on the heel guards? The tubes on mine are flat on top (like it was dented) of the heel guard as it curves downward. It is more noticable on the right side than the left. Is this designed this way due to the bend in the tubing or is this a flaw/issue. I called RM and they are emailing me a return label, but don't want to go through the hassle if this is normal. They didn't think so after checking with a tech but I thought I would check with you guys as well.

In addition just as an observation on the quality. I had posted that I bought a brand called XFR for my son's 90cc quad. I have to say after seeing the Pro Armor the XFR are MUCH BETTER quality. The Pro Armor are light in comparison to the much more solid XFR. In addition the XFR are welded much better and the heel guards are much thicker. I wasn't a huge fan of how the XFR lined up with the rear fenders on the 400, but dollar to dollar the XFR is superior to the Pro Armor without a question.

I had pro-armor nerfs on my 400 ex before I sold it. Post a picture of your nerfs and the area you think is dented and I will compare it.

Here you go. Hopefully you can see where I am talking about. It is right as the tubing curves. I also measured the thickness of the heel guards and the XFR are 1/4" thick compared to the 3/16" on the Pro Armors.

Here is another one with the area circled. I think you can see the flatness of the bars.

it appears maybe thats where the die kinked the tubing when they were bent...jus maybe?

Do you think that it should be this way? Is that normal on these? My son's have the same style bends and they are not flat. The tubing is still round, but that is a different brand.

It looks about right but I gues I could go look at mine. I just got them a couple of months ago. I just wish they were that clean still :D

That looks normal to me.

I liken it to automotive exhausts... Crushed bent pipes are a lot less expensive to produce than mandrell bent pieces. I'm sure the same applies here.

Ryan,

It's hard to tell if yours is round or flat on the bend? Which one is it?

Still can't tell with the lighting if it is bent/flat.

Shawn-Yours look round from both of your pics. Can you verify it by looking at them? I guess I will send mine back and hope the next set are better.
