Predator Fan - Cooling

I recently bought a used 06 Predator and took it riding for 1st time yesterday. The power was great and I am pleased with it overall. However I did have one concern, the fan kicked on after about 20-30 min of hard riding. Is this normal for predators? My brother has a 04' 450r and he has never heard or seen his fans come on. Please let me know what you think.

The pred is set so the fan comes on a little sooner than others.....which is a good thing. Most hard riders just wire their fan so it is always on(or to a switch). Make sure you have coolant, and it should be fine
