I contacted Big Gun about their Over Rev CDI, They talked to the people who manufacture the product and they said the CDI advances the timing between 2% and 4% ( I am not sure how much that is) depending on the machine. My question is which one should I keep? I have them both installed and when I try to start it, it drags like it has a low battery and when it does start and I run it I feel no difference in power like I am supposed to. I had the CDI on already and then installed the sparks.

Yeah the CDI doesn't have a set RPM, It lets the engine go to its limits. I do need to figure out how to convert the timing into % so I can figure out what my range is.

well if its 360° for a rotation and its 2-4% wouldnt that be 7.2 - 14.4? cant be right. IDK usually the CDI boxes advance it about 1-2 degrees max unless its adjustable.

EDIT: Just thought about it after I posted. It wouldnt be 360° before or after TDC I think its to 180° before or 180° after. So that would make it 3.6 - 7.2?
