Different Shifter?

I was just wondering if anyone uses a shifter other than the stock one on their R. I remember on my 300ex it made a huge difference when i got a moose shifter, but the 450r shifter never really has bothered me. Anyone run an aftermarket one? I was looking into maybe getting the IMS one? IDK, just want to buy something i guess....lol

I only did it myself for the color change, its about stock length.

i have an ims and really don't like it all that much it bends into my cases every time i race or ride. i can bend it with my hand

just send it out to get anodized a cool color,better than paint or powdercoat prolly and realativly cheap...

i wasnt doing it for looks, like i mentioned, on my 300, it made the quad easier to ride. Guess thats not the case with the R. My stock shifter has never bent so I dont wanna mess around with aftermarket.

i would get one, i would probable spend the extra dough and get the pro armor one. they look super stought

cant remember who made mine, but it hasn't bent or anything. I've had it since 04, was one of the first things I put on my R that and my pipe which I had before I picked up my R. After that I widened it, had too coming off my 416ex with elka's and out at 49 inches wide I thought the R handled horribly in stock form.
Also ahs to do with my riding style, I had to learn to ride in more of an attack the track nature, where on the 416 I could ride however I felt. The R Just wants to go fast, thats the way I see it.

you can kinda see the one i got, it's a pro design one and i dont think it helps out anymore than the stock one though.

I had to get a different shifter for mine when my stock one got lost in shipping when I sent my whole motor out. I ended up gettin a pro-armor and I love it way better than stock shifter.

i got a pro design also , never had a prob with the stocker just bought it cause it was there at the moment.

not to thread jack , but can you (roostar 450) post a pic with the nerfs in it??i just put them on my yfz and i want to get a set for my r , but would like to see what they look like on one.thanx.
